Great-Grandma Gubler and Lizzie. Liz is wearing her new dress from Grandma Crowley! Liz is our talker, she never stops! Grandma's lack of hearing wasn't even a deterrent to her constant stream of conversation!
We drove to Overton, where Grandma & Grandpa lived as newlyweds. There was a Gubler Bridge!
At the Lost City Muesum in Overton. Pretty fascinating. They rebuilt this Pueblo house on top of the originial foundation. Kids can run inside and check out all the rooms. It's pretty impressive. Inside were a lot of neat Indian items, and even a guy there evaluating people's found artifacts. Think Antiques Roadshow. He was sitting, analyzing things people brought in. It was really interesting to hear him.
We stopped at Valley of Fire before Overton. We camp here sometimes, and so did the Gublers when first married.

Going out and checking for eggs is a highlight of the girls' day.

I wish I could've been there. I think that is so cool there is a Gubler bridge! The girls are so cute. They are totally growing up! Love the cakes. If Abby was your first child you would have gotten her more than a balloon for her 2nd birthday...you know it's true. :) Being the oldest does have perks!We definently 'tone things down' a bit with each kid.
Yea, we had this big party for Brooke's first birthday and invited all our friends. She got tons of presents she didn't care about. Then for her 2nd birthday, she got a role of scotch tape and a bag of macaroni. She LOVED it! I'm glad Abby has taken to her baby doll. You may not want her to feed the new baby!
That's sooo true. When Caitlin turned 2, we had a big barbeque and invited everyone we knew. But, c'mon- that's a $6 balloon Abby's got!!! That's not the dollar store variety we're talking about!! (I hate to think about poor baby #4's birthdays if I think a $6 balloon is pretty freakin' awesome for a 2-year old!)
