Another move....

Destination: White Salmon, WA.
So I'm sure you've heard that Troy got a high school pricipal job here. I forgot my camera when we went up (THANK YOU MOM!) but here's a few pictures I found online. It is very green and pretty, although it's spring so everywhere is green, even Adin. Sorry Carrie. Do you ever see green? White Salmon is an hour east of Portland/Vacouver along the Columbia River directly across from the cute town of Hood River, OR. Five years ago for our anniversary we went to Hood River where they have a cool dinner train that goes around Mt. Hood. We always thought the area was beautiful, we'd never thought we would be living there though. White Salmon was named by Lewis and Clark for the salmon looking white when swimming upstream. Little tidbit I Troy told me :) Anyways, the White Salmon river is apparently one of the best white water rafting areas....so maybe someday we'll give that a try! We are excited, a little scared and I cannot think about boxing everything up withough having a panic attack. Somehow it'll get done, right? Troy's contract starts the first of July, so we'll be making the move the middle/end of June.

Lizzie-ism

Just had to report. So we go to the zoo yesterday. They have some neat animals there, and a petting zoo with goats in it. The girls loved the petting zoo. When it was time to go, they come out, and Lizzie, in all her seriousness, says, "Mom, can we get a goat and cut it open and eat it?" Ummmm....wasn't she just loving petting the goats? So I say "What?" "Can we cut open a goat and take the meat out?" "Why would you want to do that, Lizzie?" "Cause I want meat for dinner tonight." It was hilarious. She wasn't even kidding. Completely serious. Where did that come from?

Just a little Vegas update for you all. Rod's sister Cosette and her oldest daughter came and visited 2 weeks ago. The girls loved seeing their super-cool 11-year old cousin Erika and we enjoyed showing them around Red Rock, Petapalooza, the Hoover Dam, and Savers!
While we were at Red Rock, someone was "flax lining" or whatever it's called. Apparently it's a new sport. It was fun to watch!

One of two water intake towers at Hoover Dam. I really like this picture Rod took.

Last weekend Rod and I got an all-day date! We went riding at Bootleg Canyon. It was a lot of fun!

Rod tried to get a picture of me actually riding, but it was a little difficult....walking through the rocky parts doesn't make that cool of a picture!

Me on a teeter-totter....Rod made me do it.

I found some awesome clip-on earrings at Savers. Lizzie's inner princess really came out!

Petapalooza was an all-day concert thing where we saw the band Barenaked Ladies perform, watched a super cool dog-trick show, and saw lots of different dogs. Caitlin was a little wary of this one, but she braved it and posed for the picture!

Found a telescope at a yard sale. LOVE this picture of Caitlin trying to use it!

Me & Abby at Red Rock.

Just a cool picture Rod took of Abby.

This is one silly kid.

Abby has just taken her first steps yesterday! She's funny- she'll walk 2 or 3 steps, fall down, and cracks p. She's thinking it's hilarious! I think it makes her nervous and really really excited at the same time- her little baby brain goes nuts!

Spring Break 2010

For Spring Break we headed up to WA to visit some friends and Troy's family. I didn't take very many pictures, but we had a lot of fun. It was nice to get away, but it's always nice to come back and sleep in my own bed! The kids loved seeing their cousins, and Sunnyside friends. Audrey was in heaven with her cousins and we hardly saw her. Amazingly they all got along pretty well. Sometimes her and Alyssa clash. They are sooo much alike! I got to meet up for dinner with my Sunnyside friends, it was just like old times. They are such a neat group and I have missed our get togethers.

Bev and I took the kids to McD's to play. We were quite the group with 8 kids between us.

Alex and Cody were so funny to watch. One second they were hitting each other, then they were playing games, like jumping off the couch for 1/2 hour!

I think the highlight for them was garbage day. Alex did wear pants on the trip, I'm not sure why he is pantless in these pictures....

A worn out Alex.
