Audrey has been in heaven with her cousins living so close to us! Every day she asks me if she can see them. She is closest in age to Alyssa (on far right) and they play (sometimes fight) really well together. They are such cute girls! The boys like to play with them too, Cameron plays with Ashlynn at recess alot. Nathan and Bev bought a house in Yakima and will be moving in the middle of March. We are so happy for them, but kinda sad since it seem so far away! Bev is having a BOY in April so everyone is excited about that!

The kids and I (Troy obviously was not home) decided to play dress up with Alex. He's all dressed up with no where to go! The kids couldn't stop giggling, they thought it was so funny, and Alex loved being the star of the show.

Visiting the Lambournes

Obviously we had to go to In-N-Out...twice...for a
total of 3 burgers for me! It was wonderful.

Just hanging out with the girls after nap time

Cuteness #2

I had lots of fun with Carrie and fam! We made good food, went to a bird "sanctuary", had a picnic, ate farm fresh eggs, and of course scored some sweet deals at the Saver's President's Day sale.

We've Been Hit

...with the flu :(
Cameron first came down with it yesterday when he hurled into a bag in the car. Thank heavens I had a bag! Before bed last night I felt a little quesy as did Troy. At about 2am we heard Audrey barfing in the bathroom. Yes, it was good she made it to the bathroom even though most of it was on the floor an inch away from the toilet. So close. So after that I got sick, then Troy. It was a fun night. Devon has pink eye in both eyes, although he doesn't seem to have the flu and Alex seems okay. So EVERYONE is home today...Troy and I are feeling better and the kids haven't thrown up for awhile so hopefully we are on the mend. So that's what's going on in our house!

That's Devil's peak in the background.
It was pretty and windy up top!
The tracks were a bit icy at times. We
both had a couple good falls. Emily would scream first.

We were pretty tired after 4 hrs. of

skiing. We had fun.

Cross Country skiing

Emily spent a lot of time smelling the snow!
After a while she did pretty good.

Happy Belated Valentines Day Everyone!

How was everyones Valentines Day? Mom, thanks so much for the package! After 10 years, I still am SO (even ridiculously) excited for THE valentine package. The kids were excited to get their Valentines and treats. Thanks Kate for the cute cards you made! Audrey has all her
valentine contraband by her pillow and won't be separated from them. Bev and Nathan took our kids for a couple hours so Troy and I got mexican food (by that I mean Taco Bell) and watched Transformers. Talk about romantic!
I'm so upset, my cable for my camera is missing (a certain husband misplaced it, I won't name any names) so I can't get any pictures off my camera!!!!!!!! So it might be a little while before I can post pictures, I have some cute ones too!
I know everyone wants the latest on the job front, there's not a whole lot to report yet. It's still fairly early in the year, but he's looking pretty much anywhere, Oregon, Cali, Wa, and Arizona mostly. He's got a few applications out, so we'll let you know when we hear anything! He had a 'mock' interview with the Superintendant last week and did good. They have a system they use where they add up points from the interview to see how well they score-the Superintendant was impressed by how well Troy did, so that is good!
Hope everyone is doing well, only about a month to go til I'M FREE- for a few days anyway!

I'm Brown!

Take this test!

You're brown, a credible, stable color that's reminiscent of fine wood, rich leather, and wistful melancholy. Most likely, you're a logical, practical person ruled more by your head than your heart. With your inquisitive mind and insatiable curiosity, you're probably a great problem solver. And you always gather all of the facts before coming to a timely, informed decision. Easily intrigued, you're constantly finding new ways to challenge your mind, whether it's by reading the newspaper, playing a trivia game, or composing a piece of music. Brown is an impartial, neutral color, which means you tend to see the difference between fact and opinion easily and are open to many points of view. Trustworthy and steady, you really are a brown at heart.

Lambourne Going-ons

Here's some recent happenings at our house:

A benefit of Rod's accident is that finally, I know how to use tools other than a drill! This is me cutting wood for my garden (I'll post a picture of the finished product in a week or two, when it's finished). Rod coached me through it, and after using the circular saw a few times, I feel pretty confident with it (although our deal is that I never use it unless he's home, just in case I accidently cut off my arm or something)....

I love this cat. Rocky is so cool. He follows me around and watches me all day, a lot like a dog, actually. He even comes when he's called!

Cali is an okay cat. She's Rod's favorite, so I guess I'll let her stay. She's a little needy for my taste. But she also means a lot to Rocky, so I tolerate her. They groom each other all the time, and sometimes even cuddle:

So Rod goes to Scouts on Wednesday nights and me and the girls party at home. The girls found my gym bag and were fascinated by my cap and goggles. I can't tell you how many times we put these are Caitlin, then Lizzie, then me, then Caitlin, then, Lizzie, then me, then Caitlin....

I do have a really cute picture of the girls in their "cat" pj's I made for them, but this one with Lizzie's expression is so much better!

Caitlin and Lizzie are becoming great playmates! Caitlin has been acknowledging that she "loves Lizzie" and that they're sisters. She even occasionally plays up the role of big sister, complete with arm-around-the-shoulder hugs. I think Lizzie really likes it! I just noticed, that blue cup looks huge in this picture!
I'm getting so excited for our trip! I can't wait for it to get a little closer and I can make babysitting arrangements and really feel like it's going to happen! Whoo-oo!!!

Pres. Hinckley's Funeral

Did anyone get a chance to view the funeral? Dad and I went to the church to watch it. It was soooo great. His daughter gave such a wonderful tribute. The other talks were super too, but the music was really the best.
Songs that Pres. Hinckley has written the words to. Of course I cried the whole time. Not really sad tears, I think they were grateful tears that we all had a chance to know this great man and prophet.

Recent Happenings up in the SLC

My first real snowman with coal and carrots! A true work of art, I know. There is still plenty of blasted snow in Salt Lake, coming down at this moment.
Me and Jenna at dinner with some friends. Yes, that is a Dr. Pepper. See how happy I am.

Me and Bryan at the Utah-BYU bball game. Utah lost, but I consider myself a winner either way. Bryan on the other hand, is a true Ute fan and was no doubt the loudest fan in our section.
